We have adapted the way that we do some things this year to accommodate our guests while COVID-19 concerns persist. We respect all social distancing and hygiene practices and are taking extra precautions to protect our guests.
As a precaution this year, we are doing contactless check-in. We will process fees online the morning of your arrival, email your receipt, and have your keys placed in your room or cottage. This will allow you to go directly to your room or cottage when you arrive on the property. If you plan to arrive later than 9:00 p.m., please let us know in advance and we will leave a light on for you. If you are uncomfortable with this method of check-in, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you.
Our rooms and cottages are attended to only by the owners of the property. In addition to our usual deep cleaning procedures, we are following CDC sanitation guidelines for the travel industry. All spaces are disinfected with disinfectant cleaning products for your protection. All surfaces are meticulously cleaned including doorknobs, remotes, light switches and other high-touch surfaces.
This year we will be refraining from the previous practice of daily room "sprucing" as an additional safety measure. If you are staying for more than one night, we are asking that you let us know if you will be needing your towels replaced, additional supplies, or your trash taken out. We are happy to assist with whatever you may need, but want to respect our guest’s social distancing practices.
We ask that if you have any symptoms of illness that you either cancel or postpone your trip. Please let us know if you will need to alter your plans due to symptoms or illness.
Each of our rooms and cottages have private entrances and therefore direct interaction with others will be naturally limited. Please be aware of keeping at least a 6-foot distance from other guests while on the resort property, including around the park and patio areas and fire pits.
We are not requesting the use of face masks for our guests, as we do not offer any indoor public gathering spaces. In Michigan, masks are no longer required outdoors and are no longer required indoors for those that are fully vaccinated. Anyone that has not yet been vaccinated is still asked to wear a mask indoors.
We ask that you practice hand washing hygiene during your stay. The CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds whenever possible because handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs on hands. Hand soap is available in your private bathroom. Additional precautions: If you should sneeze, we ask that you sneeze into your elbow to avoid any potential exposures for those around you. Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth.
